I decided to watch all three Fifty Shades Trilogy movies, Fifty Shades of Grey—Extended Version, Fifty Shades Darker—Extended Version, and Fifty Shades Freed—Extended Version, on the independent channel. I didn’t even know there were three movies about this erotic romance drama. These movies were based on the Fifty Shades trilogy, written by E. L. James.
Anastasia Steele interviews Christian Grey at his office for her college friend
Book One depicts the first meeting between Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, which appears to be fated because Anastasia was just helping out her sick college friend when she accepted to interview Christian Grey. But something suddenly sparked between Anastasia and Christian, although she acted more professional than other women who came in contact with Christian. They were instantly attracted to each other because they have opposite personalities. Anastasia is a studious bookworm college student studying English Literature, while Christian is a cold, heartless, and emotionless businessman. But he is an attractive millionaire, while she looks like a plain, naïve wallflower. She falls for him fast, and he makes her life miserable with his sadistic punishments, rules, and requirements, as well as erotic sex inside his red room.
Anastasia Steele interviews Christian Grey at his office for her college roommate
Although it appeared she was enjoying the sexual scenes, she eventually walks away from him and graduates from college with her friends. He appears to still be attracted to her because she was an inexperienced virgin when they met, as well as she is not interested in his sadistic games. He continues to pursue her, but she feels he is too fucked up for her and she cannot understand his issues.Book Two starts out with Christian having nightmares about his childhood. He wakes up to realize that he has fallen in love with Anastasia, he misses her, and he cannot live without her because she was different from his other women that he abused. He pursues her by romancing her, sending her flowers, money, and expensive gifts. But she has moved on with her career and friends.
Christian takes Anastasia on his personal helicopter to his home
He eventually convinces her that he has changed, and he wants a real relationship without rules and punishments. But I think he still seemed controlling. For one thing, a bodyguard goes with her everywhere to protect her, like some famous celebrities. It is sometimes hard for her to do her own thing and hang out with her friends. He ends up buying the company she works for and firing her boss because her boss had sexually assaulted her at work.
Anastasia experience erotic sex and abusive punishments inside the red room playroom
She learns more about him, his older mistress, and his adopted family, as well as his erotic pleasure room, filled with sexual props. She seems to enjoy erotic sex with him because that red room is similar to their playground. They become closer, she moves in with him, and he proposes marriage.Book Three starts with their wedding and their struggles to make it work. People from their past haunt them to ruin their marriage.
Anastasia is being stalked by one of Christians abused girls
The third book has action and suspense. She accidentally becomes pregnant, even though neither one is ready to become a parent. But Anastasia is willing to make it work as a mother, even though Christian is reluctant. They fight, and he escapes to his mistress. Meanwhile, her former boss was freed from jail, and he threatens to kill her husband’s adopted sister if she doesn’t pay the ransom money.
Anastasias boss Jack often sexually assaults her and flirts with her
She sneaks out without the bodyguard, gets the money from the bank, hides her iPhone with the money so she can be tracked, and drives to Jack Hyde’s meeting location. He becomes aggressive with her, battering her, before she shoots him in the leg, and the police arrive just in time to arrest Jack while taking Anastasia to the hospital. Then, the scene jumps to the future, where they look like a happy family. Christian is playing with his toddler boy, and Anastasia is pregnant again.I thought it was a weird relationship, mostly an on-again, off-again sexually erotic relationship between two people who needed each other but were very different and had a hard time making it work out. She calmed him down and helped him respect women, while he shared his wealth and luxurious lifestyle with her, filled with adventures, horny sex, travelling, and extravagance.
At her friend Joses art exhibit Ana notices that she was his main art project
While watching all three films, I felt there were similar aspects from this film that reminded me of the films, Devil Wears Prada and Pretty Woman. But it was an interesting saga.
Christian and Ana return early from their honeymoon
I also noticed the Florence Nightingale effect between Anastasia and Christian because Anastasia fell in love with her abuser and wanted to help him in a similar way, while Christian was similar to a fucked-up mental patient who needed that kind of nurturing because of the abuse in his past, which had made him cold, hard and abusive. Although they had an immediate attraction and eventually fell in love, she could no longer take the abuse and left him, even though it appears that she still had feelings for him. Christian fell in love with Anastasia because she was different from the other women he had sadistically abused. The other women were needy and submissive, like he wanted, but Anatasia was independent and intelligent and took her power back. He was willing to change himself in order to be with her, as he pursued her to get her back by proving to her that he has changed. As they worked on a normal relationship together, with some struggles here and there, other people from their past haunted them to threaten their relationship. But they both appeared to still enjoy the erotic sex and strange sexual gadgets inside Christian’s so-called playroom.I have a used copy of the novel Fifty Shades of Grey, the first book, from a neighbour who had discarded it, but I haven’t read it yet. I need to read it soon to compare it with the movie, mostly to see if the novel has more details.Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, written by Kelly Marcel, and produced by Michael De Luca, E. L.
